The Planned Giving Council of Greater Philadelphia needs you.  This is your Council, and there are a number of ways you can become involved.  By becoming involved, you will expand your professional network, enhance your knowledge and skills, and help your colleagues.  Please feel free to contact the committee chairs to get more involved.

Awards Committee
Chair: Scott Janney 
This committee works cooperatively with the Association of Fundraising Professionals/Greater Philadelphia Chapter in the process of attracting, nominating and selecting recipients of the Legacy Award for Planned Giving Philanthropist which is awarded at national Philanthropy Day. It may also consider other awards from time to time.

Marketing & Communications Committee
Chair: Donesha Peak
This committee develops and implements all marketing initiatives through a variety of media to increase public awareness of the council and its work, educate members about their opportunities and benefits, and attract new members.

Membership Committee
Co-Chairs: Christopher Jungers
Attracting and retaining members is key to the future success of the Council. This committee will market the Council to the fundraising community and develop efforts to encourage existing members to renew in greater numbers.

Mentorship Committee
Co-Chairs: Olga Briker and Martha Mitchell
Planned giving professionals who would like to have a mentor from among senior members of the Council go to this Committee. Committee members recruit and match mentors and mentees.

Planned Giving Course Committee
Chair: Steve Grourke
The Planned Giving Coursesm is a two-day educational program providing a comprehensive introduction to gift planning for those with little or no experience in this area of fundraising. This is a select committee that develops curriculum, selects faculty, coordinates Course logistics and directs marketing.

Planned Giving Day Committee
Co-Chairs: Delia Perez  and Peter Reitmeyer
Planned Giving Day is a one-day educational program involving multiple tracks and sessions. An exhibit hall allows attendees to learn about the variety of products and services available to meet their needs. This committee is made up of several subcommittees that coordinate all aspects of Planned Giving Day from session development, faculty identification, exhibitor recruitment, and marketing.

Programs Committee
Co-Chairs: Patrick Manion and Doneska Peak
This committee is responsible for planning the Council’s three morning and lunch programs along with periodic roundtables. Committee members identify the educational interests of Council members, recruit presenters, and work with staff to market the programs.
