A look at the impact of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act on contributions to non-profits, not just from changes to tax law but also from other policies that may affect charitable organizations.
David J. Toll, MBA, JD brings more than 22 years of professional experience in development and fundraising with higher education institutions. David is currently serving as the Senior Associate Vice President of the Office of Gift Planning at Drexel University, where he is responsible for the development and implementation of university-wide planned giving efforts for Drexel University, Drexel University College of Medicine, Tom Kline School of Law and the Academy of Natural Sciences at Drexel University, David is also a Senior Consultant with Major & Planned Giving Development, LLC, Widely considered a leader in the field of higher education gift planning, David has the unique ability to articulate very technical gift planning techniques in simple, understandable terms for donors. At Drexel, David provides strategic leadership to aid central major gift staff and encourages the consistent use of “combination gifts” to increase an individual’s giving potential.
Donald W. Kramer, Esq. is chair of the Nonprofit Law Group at the Philadelphia law firm of Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, LLP. Don has more than 45 years of experience dealing with the concerns of nonprofit organizations, not only as a lawyer but also as a teacher, writer, publisher, and board member. Don is editor and publisher of Don Kramer's Nonprofit Issues®, a national electronic newsletter and website of "Nonprofit Law You Need to Know" (www.nonprofitissues.com), which he started at Montgomery, McCracken in 1989.
He writes and lectures frequently on nonprofit legal issues, and has taught courses on nonprofit organization law at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, the School of Social Policy and Practice at the University of Pennsylvania, and Eastern University. He has worked with nonprofit organizations of all types and sizes, helping structure start-up situations and restructure multi-organizational social service, health and educational systems.. A graduate of Princeton University, he earned his law degree from Harvard Law School.

She moved to NYC to become the Vice President of Philanthropy at Pace University, NY overseeing a staff of 45 during their $100 million campaign right after 9/11.
She has been a member of AFP for over 30 years and is the recipient of the Ralph E. Chamberlain Award for extraordinary leadership in the field of fundraising and lifetime of service to the profession, and the New York Nonprofit Network’s 50 Over 50 Award for excellence in media and philanthropy. Since 2005, Laura has been teaching “The Art of the Ask: Effective Communications and Negotiation Strategies” at New York University School of Professional Studies.
